A dream for any aspiring golfer, the immaculate Spring Valley Golf Course is open year-round for your pleasure and play.

Neatly tucked into the pockets of Northeast Columbia lies the upscale neighborhood of Spring Valley, the first of its kind in that region of the city. The neighborhood features stately homes, green hills, picturesque ponds, and expertly landscaped flowers and trees. It wouldn’t be out of the norm to see a deer or two frolicking around the natural setting, a true South Carolinian paradise. It’s easy to see why this neighborhood is the perfect spot for one of the Midlands’ best golf courses.

A part of the Spring Valley Country Club, the Championship Spring Valley Golf Course rests on roughly 150 acres and features eighteen fun and challenging holes for experts and amateurs alike. George Cobb originally designed the course in 1960, but it has since been renovated by John B. Lafoy. It currently boasts pristine Bermuda Fairways and Mini Verde Bermuda Greens. The country club also offers a three-tiered driving range as well as a short-game facility for putting and chipping practice.

The Spring Valley Head Golf Pro is Matt Barton, PGA, who works alongside Assistant Golf Pros Cameron Headden and Bryan Mitchell to foster a community in which golf enthusiasts of all ages can thrive. They not only host numerous competitions such as the Member-Member Tournament, Member-Guest Tournament, and Klondike Classic Tournament, which build a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship, but they also manage an excellent Junior Golf Program and PGA Junior League. These groups teach young golfers age-appropriate skills and emphasize the importance of fitness and nutrition for the developing athlete. They encourage young golfers to truly enjoy the game and have fun while sharpening their abilities on the greens.
