Recently, the PAC Panthers Golf Team showed off their season’s hard work at the 2nd Annual PAC Invitational Tournament sponsored in part by The Legacy Group SC Real Estate.
The Providence Athletic Club (PAC) is an organization that provides high-quality high school and middle school sports opportunities for homeschooled, virtual school, charter school, and private school students who do not have access to certain athletic teams. PAC offers a diverse selection of competitive teams to join: football, baseball, basketball, cheer, fishing, and more! — all led by coaches who guide with the highest standards.
The PAC Panthers Annual Golf Invitational helps PAC participants foster relationships with schools and leagues across South Carolina, giving them a fun day to bring together all the skills they have learned over the entire golf season. Indeed, students from seven different schools including Ben Lippen, American Leadership Academy, Cardinal Newman, and more joined the PAC Panthers in this 9-hole tournament at the pristine Wildewood Country Club on May 6. The competition was divided into Junior Varsity (grades 6-8) and Varsity (grades 9-12) leagues, in which golfers were randomly selected to play in teams of four.
At the conclusion of the tournament, students and coaches enjoyed Shealy’s Barbecue free of charge at the Clubhouse. The players listened to words of wisdom and encouragement from guest speaker Adrian Despres from the Forge organization. Then trophy medals were awarded to the top three individual golfers in the JV category as well as the Varsity category. Medals were awarded to all winning team players and runner-up team players based on overall scores as well. The day was an absolute success, filled with friendly competition, new relationships, and budding talent!
